Apologies that last week's newsletter didn’t have any club content in I was away on annual leave.

Before we get into the newsletter content well done to the European Ladies Solheim Cup Team! It was fantastic to see the European team win after the two previous attempts.

Course news

Hard at work!

This week has been course maintenance week, so on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the boys have been working hard on getting the greens ready for winter.

Apologies if the greens aren’t up to their current high standard for the next couple weeks, however, I hope you all appreciate that this work needs to be done ahead of the winter.

For the renovation the greenkeepers have been scarifying the greens, top dressing them, then solid tining them before brushing the sand into the surface and then applying an autumn feed.

Captain's Charity Day

Thank you to everybody who competed in the Captain's Charity Day on Saturday.

Unfortunately I was away but I am led to believe that over £3000 was raised for Steve’s chosen charity: Remembering not to Forget!
