2020 mixed friendlies

Are you interested in representing Cricket St Thomas Golf Club? The please read the below message from our organisers Jimmy and Angela:

Message to all those couples who may be interested in playing in the mixed friendlies this year. We have secured dates for 6 matches, these being a mixture of home and away.

Our first match will be away on Sunday 3rd May at Mendip Springs. Due to other club commitments we have kept the matches to roughly one a month.

What's your ball of choice?

Given the weather we have been busy in the shop and added our new ball display, making it easier to pick up your golf balls for your next round.

We have Titleist's complete range in-store so there is the perfect ball for your game, plus there is also various colours for those of you prone to hitting it into the rough or trees.

Keep a grip on it

A recent golf survey highlighted some very interesting statistics regarding golfers' habits and their equipment, two of which you can see in the image below.

These stats might not mean a lot to you at face value, but the general recommendation is that you change your grips once a year, especially if you play regular golf.

The truth is, grips lose their efficiency over time and when they do we end up gripping the club too tightly, which restricts our ability to swing the club freely. Just something for you to think about...
