March golf update from Mark
I just wanted to make you aware of a few golf updates happening around the club: Firstly, the rumours are true I’m afraid. I will be leaving in two weeks time on Monday 23rd March so it would be great to see as many of you as possible before then. It’s been great getting to know you all over the past year and thank you for making me feel so welcome in that time. Knockout entry forms have been posted on the noticeboard so if you’d like to enter make sure you get your name down by the deadline date which is Wednesday 1st April. We now have electric trolley storage available at the club in our container unit which is situated at the entrance to the pitch and putt. To reserve a space is £75 for the year, if you would like a space then just let me know by replying to this email and I can add it on to your renewal bill. If you have any questions or would like to have a look please let myself or Matt know and we’ll be more than happy to help or show you inside the container unit to make sure you are happy first. We also have boot lockers available and can add you to the waiting list for bag lockers. You may have noticed that the shop is starting to take shape for the upcoming year, Under Armour and PING apparel are due in this week, PING and Mizuno clubs are also due in very soon. There are two pro shop promotions currently running – firstly a FREE grip on your 7-iron (yes it’s not too good to be true) and secondly starting on Friday 13th March buy four dozen for the price of three on Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x or AVX’s. As most of you are probably aware the Covered Driving Range bays are complete with a massive thank you to everybody who helped to get this done with a special mention to Roy, Dave, Mark Seddon and Brian Hollinson. The opening hours will follow suit with the bar and tokens can be purchased from there when the pro shop is closed. Membership renewals have been emailed out so if you have not received yours please let me know, these are due by Wednesday 1st April please. Members who would like to move on to fairway credit need to let myself or Alex know by the deadline which is Sunday 15th March, there are forms to fill out from the pro shop if you would like to do so. Pro shop opening hours are now 7:00am – 5:00pm until Wednesday 1st April where they will change to 7:00am - 6:00pm. With the new season nearly upon us why not book a lesson with Roy to get your game in shape? You can do so by clicking here! And finally I’d just like to say and I’m sure you'd all agree what a great job Dave and his team have done to get the course open this winter! Whilst most courses have been closed we have generally remained open which is testament to all the drainage work the team have done.
